Glenskirlie Castle Wedding Photography - Lara & Grant

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

We were off to Banknock near Stirling last Saturday to photograph the wedding of Lara & Grant, who were married at Glenskirlie Castle.

You couldn't meet a nicer couple than Lara & Grant and it was a pleasure working with them. We spent a lot of time taking pictures inside the Castle as the weather didn't behave itself, but luckily the sun came out later on and our happy couple were able to pose for a few romantic shots with the Castle in the background.

Here are a few of grant & Lara's beautiful images, their album is going to be stunning!

Jen & Kenny's Wedding in St Andrews, 3rd September 2010, Wedding Photography at the Fairmont Hotel

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Jen & Kenny got married in the 5* Fairmont Hotel & Golf Resort in St Andrews on the 3rd of September.

We started off photographing Jen getting ready at the hotel and she looked beautiful in hr tiara which was supplied along with the rest of Jen and her bridesmaids jewelery by Lynsey's Designs

We photographed the couple at the beach as well as the hotel itself and we got some stunning shots.

Here are some of the images from the day.

Charlene & James, 26th June 2010, Wedding Photography at Keavil House, Fife

Monday, July 12, 2010

We were off up to Fife on the 16th June for the wedding of Charlene & James.

The ceremony was at Culross Abbey and then on to the reception at Keavil House Hotel at Crossfords.

The family portraits were taken at Keavil House, but the Bride & Groom Portraits were done at a top secret location! James had managed to get access to a very special place and it was well worth it because the location and the images we shot are absolutely amazing!

Here's a few samples from Charlene & James' images.

Nicola & David, Wedding Photography at Loch Lomond

Thursday, May 20, 2010

After Friday's wedding in Edinburgh we headed up to Loch Lomond for the Wedding of Nicola & David.

We stayed in a beautiful little Guest House, along from the Duck Bay Marina, called "Watersedge Cottage" and as the name suggests it's right on the waters edge with stunning views over Loch Lomond. We can definately reccommend it!

It looked like it was going to be a dodgy day weather wise, at one point the rain was bouncing off the pavements. However, in true Scottish style, it was like turning off a tap! The rain stopped and the rest of the day was perfect, warm and sunny.

Nicola was getting ready at the "Carrick" in one of the Luxury lodges in the "Mansions" owned by Cameron House. WOW! What a place. The rooms are huge, contemporary and stunningly decorated. Well worth another visit if we get a few days break.

After the ceremony at Bonhill Parish Church the guests went on to the Duck Bay Marina Hotel while we took the Bride & Groom to the Arden Youth Hostel for photographs. What a georgeous building it looks more like a castle, you'd never guess it was a Youth Hostel at all.

Then it was back to the Duck Bay Marina for a few family shots before everyone sat down to dinner and speeches.

Nicola & david provided us with a beautiful meal and had even sat us with their guests in the dining room which was lovely and unexpected!

At night Nicola & David had their first dance against the beautiful backdrop of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond, a perfect end to the day. We wish we could have stayed an extra night and enjoyed the festivities with you rather than face the 2.5 hour drive home but never mind!

Thank you to Nicola & David, it felt more like photographing 2 friends rather than clients. You and your families were great to work with and you made our job all the more enjoyable.

Here are a few images we hope you like viewing them as much as we did creating them.

Gemma & Alan's Wedding in St. Andrews

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

We had a fantastic day on Saturday 24th April capturing the wedding of Gemma and Alan at the Holy Trinity Church and then the Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews.

We started out with Gemma getting ready at the Old Course, then on to the church to await the arrival of a very emotional Gemma! After a beautiful ceremony we captured some beautiful family shots then on to the beach!

Wow what can we say! The shots are fabulous! Just shows what you can do when you get a bride and groom who are up for having fun when it comes to their wedding photography.

After the beach it was a quick stop at the Swilken Burn Bridge before returning to the Old Course for speeches and dancing.

The perfect end to a perfect day was a stunning fireworks display in the grounds of the hotel. A truly magical day!

Thanks to Gemma and Alan for making our job so easy, you guys were great!

We also had the opportunity of working with "Geewhiz" video company for the first time. Allister and Elaine, we very much enjoyed working with you both and we hope to meet again soon.

We've added a little AV Show with some of the highlights of Gemma & Alan's day as well as a few images, we hope you enjoy!

If like us you have the internet speed of a snail, this AV will take a while to load so it's maybe worth pausing it and going and putting the kettle on until it's loaded! The joys of being based in a rural area!
