BIPP Photographer Of the Year Awards 2010

Wednesday, December 8, 2010
We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded second place in British Wedding Photographer of the Year at the British Institute of Professional Photographers annual Awards held at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
We were unable to attend due to work commitments but we have been sent a lovely etched glass trophy to add to our trophy display in the studio!
It would have been great to have got first place but we can't complain as we've has a brilliant year with winning Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year, BIPP Photographer of the Year Scotland, and MPA Photographer of the Year Scotland all earlier this year.
We will keep our fingers crossed that next year is just as sucessful as this year!
The image that was awarded was from Sian & Alan's Wedding at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. Have a look at the images from their big day below.

Cashmere Shoot for Noluur 23rd September 2010

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

These are some of the images we shot at a full day shoot for Noluur Cashmere just outside Langholm in the Scottish Borders. The shoot was in an old derelict house with no heating or water so it was just a bit chilly! Thanks to models Craig and Chantelle for braving the cold and doing a fantastic job. Also to Bill who was our chauffeur for the day, ferrying us back and forwards in his 4 wheel drive!

Suz & Mark's Wedding Heiton, Kelso. Wedding Photography at Roxburghe Hotel

Friday, September 10, 2010

Suz & Mark got married at the Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course at Heiton near Kelso, on the 4th September.

The weather was glorious so the ceremony took place outside in the garden against the backdrop of the main house.

We had great fun shooting the pictures for Suz & Mark, they both wanted a natural relaxed approach to their wedding photography alongside our trademark WOW shots! They certainly have that, and with over 200 edited images to choose from it's going to be a hard job narrowing them down for the album. Good luck guys!

Here are some of the images we took on Suz & Mark's big day, we hope you enjoy!

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Friday 25th June 2010 was the date of Claire & Michael's Wedding at the Roxburgh Hotel at Heiton near Kelso.

The Roxburgh Hotel is a stunning venue and we haven't worked there for ages so we were really looking forward to it.

The weather was perfect and the wedding took place in the conservatory where the light was lovely and soft.

After the ceremony we took the group shots out at the front of the hotel with the climbing roses in full bloom in the background.

After the family photographs we spent half an hour with Claire & Michael and captured some beautiful romantic shots of the two of them.

Claire & Michael, we loved working with you both, you were really relaxed and it comes accross in the pictures. we hope you like the featured shots below and we look forward to seeing you when you get back from your honeymoon, have a great time.

Natasha & Dane, Wedding Photography at Comlongon Castle

Friday, June 18, 2010
On Wednesday we shot Natasha & Dane's wedding at Comlongan Castle in Dumfries. It's ages since we worked there and it was lovely to be back.

The weather was great and the grounds of Comlongan are beautiful so that, together with the fact that Natasha & Dane are a great looking couple, meant we couldn't fail to get stunning pictures.

There were a real mixture of accents at this wedding as Dane is from Australia and Natasha is Canadian, not forgetting Natasha's dad Mike who is Scottish!

After the candlelit ceremony in the keep, the guests chatted with Natasha and Dane for a little while out on the lawn before going into the castle for champagne and canapes while we took the Bride and Groom away for some romantic photos around the grounds.

Natasha and Dane, we hope you like the images, we look forward to showing you the rest. Have a safe journey back to Australia and we'll speak to you soon.
