Diamonds, sequins and dancing!
The wedding day began with the ladies having a bridal brunch at the Lemon Wedge in Downtown Bryan while the guys headed to Navasota for a round of golf at Pecan Lakes. We met up with Tomileigh and her bridesmaids at the Hilton rotating turns with the makeup artist and hairstylists. The white translucent curtains cast a beautiful soft light over the room with laughter and smiles filling in the shadows. We caravanned over to the A&M United Methodist Church in College Station, where the bride finished getting ready and the groom and groomsmen arrived shortly thereafter. Tomileigh was adorned in accents of David Gardner's sophisticated jewelry and a pair of blue Badgley Mischka's for her something borrowed, new and blue. The minister read letters that the couple had written to each other during their pre marital meetings and it gave a wonderful personal touch to the ceremony. They kissed to seal their marriage vows amidst a flurry of repeating snapshots from multiple cameras and were whisked away for the formal pictures.
We arrived at Royalty Pecan Farms to the wedding party's entrance, which was warmly welcomed among cheers of friends and family, and a heartfelt prayer to the union of the couple. Fuego's catered in a colorful palette of toppings to go with a few of their traditional menu items. With the clinking of glasses, cheers, toasts and applause, the couple started of the evening with their first dance under a beautiful blanket of twinkling lights, a starry night, and loving eyes. Travis with Texas Entertainment spun the digital records like a champ, while the guests got their groove on. The Black Eyed Peas, "I've got a feeling" summed up the evening's atmosphere. After the cake had been cut, the bouquet and garter had been tossed, the bride slipped into and awesome little number, traded out her earrings for a set the groom had given her, and she was the epitome of elegance.
Then it was time to bid the bride and groom farewell and she hung back to savor the moment that had been theirs and reflect on their exciting future together. As the guests left to line up one by one, they each gathered a sapling to take home as their parting gift in one hand, and a sparkler in the other. Tomileigh's coordinator, Ashley Brockman, started their sparkler line with the flick of a Bic, and the bride and groom began their journey to ever after. A smile and a wave goodbye and they were off in Cody's Corvette with the top down, cutting through the night under a ceiling of stars.
